The former Burwood Brickworks site was purchased for more than $65 million by Frasers Property Australia (formerly Australand) in May 2014.
Once complete, the 20.5 hectare site – one of the largest greenfield sites in Melbourne’s east – will accommodate approximately 2000 people in 950 new homes, with a 10,530 square-metre shopping centre.
The 950 dwellings will be a mix of apartments, terraces and family homes. Low-rise apartments will be concentrated around the retail hub, with a maximum of five storeys plus car parking. The development will also include 2.4 hectares of open space.
